I support individuals, teams & organisations…
that hold social change, community-first and purpose over profit as their core values in their workspaces. Not for profits, social enterprises, community groups and public services are all here to provide unique, essential services to the public and service users and need to be supported to do this important work.
Most workers enter the nonprofit sector because they care deeply, they want to be part of changing things, they see how things can be different and are not ok with the status quo. But in this work they often feel unsupported, endure frustration and can experience stress and burnout. This can lead to the organisation under delivering to the very people it is there to serve as well as experiencing high turnover rates.
Let me support you and your team to put the enthusiasm, energy and hope back into the work that you know you are here to do.
I can provide support in a number of ways:
-
Training
Provide training and workshops for leaders and teams to create healthy work environments where people thrive, stay and remain enthusiastic.
I also provide training for service users in personal development to set realistic positive goals in their lives that foster independence.
-
Coaching & Leadership
Coaching and Support to empower leaders, changemakers and teams to be satisfied, self sufficient, trustworthy & resilient.
To connect back to their why and their values and re energise their motivation and place in your organisation.
-
Supervision
Provide safe and inclusive spaces for individuals and teams to reflect on their practice using the critical reflective model. Professional reflective practice is an essential tool to process stressful work situations, reflect on client work, professional boundaries and practice skills as well as learning professional and personal development.
-
Speaking
I can speak at your event, retreat, off site or podcast to inspire and motivate on themes relevant to your organisational values and goals.

About Sara
Sara Slattery has over 20 years experience…
in working with individuals, families and organisations through the process of change in the community sector, educational welfare services and more recently in her own private practice. She has been on the front line, in leadership positions as well as interagency coordination. With a Masters in Community Development and BA in Sociological & Political Studies and Maths from University of Galway she has always been intrigued by social structures, community issues and the process of change in both wider and more micro contexts.
She managed a team of 10 in a community based job centre in north Dublin as well as providing front line services to people who had left school early, young people who were transitioning out of the prison service as well as locally managing an extensive EU funded interagency project in the community. This early experience provided foundational, flexible response skills and a wider level of experience across all levels in the whole sector.
She then transitioned to the public service…
where she worked with 100s of individuals, families, schools and organisaitons to support educational pathways for children and young people. Managing extensive caseloads in sometimes challenging situations provided invaluable insight and experience into family dynamics, systemic structures as well as the impact of government policy impact on the ground.
In 2018 she transitioned to self employment to bring her values aligned experience into training, coaching and consulting for both individuals and organisations. In addition to her private coaching practice she has provided extensive personal development training to service users of organisations in employment services.
A qualified trainer, project manager and leadership coach…
Sara brings her wide and long term experience into organisations and values great relationships with those she works with.
She believes that supporting employees and leaders in values led changemaking organisations provides sustainability, balance and resourcing to this sector which in turn provides invaluable high quality support for service users.
